I ordered a pizza and salad for delivery. I had the Neopolitan crust large pizza half Chicken Alfredo and half Mexicana. It was delicious. When they delivered the pizza to my home, it was still hot and cheesy. I would not get the Chicken Tossed Salad again. The chicken was very bland and not tasty.

Really good pizza. This is my default pizza place when I'm heading home and just too tired to cook. Love anything here with the whole milk mozzarella!

Fresh ingredients make for a delicious and satisfying pizza experience. I much preferred this to the more rampant pizza/pizza delivery chains

This was the best pizza we have had in a long time. Crust was fairly thin, sauce was savory and there was plenty of cheese. And this is coming from a New Yorker.

Decided to try it again and the heavy set Samoan waiter greets us at the door and says they decided to close early tonight. I asked what time they close and he said sometimes 9 and sometimes even 10. It was 9:15 and the restaurant was pretty full. This place doesn't even have very good pizza and the service and staff is always HORRIBLE!! See my previous review, but it's always something at this place. Very obvious management problem here.

I've been to this Flippers 3 times. The first time was delicious. I had the Margarita pizza and it was so good I was craving it ever since. When I went the second time I left immediately because it was uncomfortably warm in the restaurant. The third time I went I ordered the Margarita pizza again only to find out they were out of fresh mozzarella. How does a pizza place run out of fresh mozzarella. If I wanted a regular pizza I would have gone to a Papa Johns. We ended up ordering the Bianca pizza and it wasn't very good. Just regular mozzarella and barley any ricotta cheese. It's too bad. This place had the potential to become a favorite...

The pizza here is great! We really enjoy eating here. My only complaint is the pricing to add toppings. It is one price per topping regardless of what size pizza you have. This gets expensive on a small individual sized pizza. Topping pricing on the individual pizzas should be less than a large pizza.

In the search for the best local place to get pizza my search must continue. I wanted to make this my pizza home after my first time I visited. After the 3rd time it will be my last. The first time we went here I really liked it. The pizza and salad we had were really good. The 2nd time, we had them deliver and the pizza was so greasy it was almost uneatable. The 3rd time after being at Animal Kingdom all day, we wanted to give them 1 more try. The service was ok, but the server committed the 2 sins the annoy me the most. First she didn't know what beers they have and second was I had to ask for a refill. . The pizza was once again greasy. I was able to eat it, but I have decided I won't be back. We have a few decent place in Lake Mary for Pizza, but I can't add this place to my list.

Today's meal at the new Lake Mary Flippers was excellent as usual. I had the Buffalo Chicken pizza and it was awesome. I've been a fan of Flippers for awhile now, and am excited it's in my home town. The staff is friendly and the place is spotless. I'd encourage anyone who eats there to try one of the specialty pizzas as I think they are the highlight of the menu.

My favorite local pizza spot. The food, ALL of it, is delicious. The service can be a little slow at times but we love to sit outside because the location is great too After eating the pizza, my son and husbands favorite, and chicken flatbread, my favorite, with a beer or wine or tea we head across the little street and stroll in the city hall grounds under the trees. Right now they're full of Christmas lights. I almost don't want to post this because I don't want to fight a crowd!

Thought the food and service was awful.

This place sucks. They ALWAYS jack up the order and then charge $2.50 for a delivery PER ORDER WITHOUT TELLING YOU. So if you have 3 orders going to the same location, they will charge $2.50 even if you work within a walking distance to this place and can't leave to pick it up!

When coming to Flippers BRING A PILLOW . We waited a 1/2 hour for sandwiches, on a SLOW DAY. The food is good but not sure if it's worth the wait.

Went here for lunch. Place was fairly empty when we got there, filled up to about half occupancy by 1pm. Service was ok, not slow and server checked on us periodically. Didn't have to ask for refills. Had the Fresh Tomato and Pesto Bread and it was ok. Could of had more cheese on it. Marinara sauce is tasty. For main course, had a Sweet Italian Sausage and Fresh Garlic calzone. Ingredients tasted fresh, the garlic seemed to be mixed into the sausage it-self. The negatives here are definitely atmosphere. The place reminds me of a high school cafeteria. If they had some mood lighting and maybe change the walls and tables, this place would be a regular go-to place for me. As it stands now, I may try them for take out next time, but won't be looking forward to dining in.

I've had the ricatta filled meatballs and wowzers they were amazing! I've also had the greek salad and that was delicious as well. I've never had the pizza...guess I have to go again. THe service was great, I didn't go during the busier hours and maybe that's why, but they've always been really friendly. It's clean everytime we go there. THe bathrooms are nice and big... I have no complaints.

My wife and I are huge fans of Flippers. We love the pizza and love the breadsticks as well. They have GREAT lunch specials...two topping individual pizza and soda for $6 is a great deal. The dinner prices are a little high as somone else mentioned. Fortunately we frequently get coupons in the mail that we use. It does take a while to get a pizza, but we understand that going in. We just go and expect to wait a while but knowing that a delicious pizza is on the way. This time of the year its nice to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. I would recommend.

Flippers is a great family pizzeria. The waitstaff were friendly and the food was great. My fiance and I each had beer and ordered a custom pizza. The menu has a great selection but we were in the mood for something creative. There were several families there which was nice to see. However, because of the floors and the cinder-block walls, it did get very loud.

i guess this can't be a true review considering that it's a pizzeria and i did not eat the pizza here. it was mother's day so we expected to wait, but the restaurant was not full when we arrived. nonetheless, we had to wait about 10 mins for them to clear off a table for us to sit down. then we waited another 15 mins for them to take our drink order. then another 10 mins for the drinks to arrive and have our orders taken. then we waited at least 35 mins for our food to arrive. our food did not all come out at once. those who ordered pizza got their food first. my bf ordered a sandwich and got his about 10 mins later. i waited even longer and got my food last, so everyone was just about done eating by the time i started. our waitress was nice and apologetic, but service here is SLOW! i had something called a veggie flat. i thought it would be something more like a flatbread, which is not what i got. it was 2 pieces of very hard flat "bread" that tasted more like cardboard. flat bread is like a thin pizza crust, but this was really more like eating a box. it had mushrooms and melted cheese, but that's the only part that was cooked. it also had raw spinach, tomatoes, and onions, but i was expecting all of the veggies to be cooked. then it's all topped with ranch dresssing. it was more like a salad on cardboard. i was not impressed. everyone else ordered pizza and they all enjoyed it. so maybe the key here is to stick to pizza and avoid anything else. you'd be much better off finding a local pizzeria that is not a chain.

I have been a fan of Flippers for quite a while. I'm happy to see them expanding their locations. The pizza is great and the prices are good too. I really love the Bar-B-Q chicken flatbread on wheat. I pretty much order that every time i go there now, it's that good. Great service, great food, great price, what more can you really ask for?

This is the 3rd time I've had Flippers Pizza. This is also the 1st time that I ate their pizza after having it delivered to where I work! Man.....I love their pizza! I usually just get their plain cheese pizza which always tasted yummy & very fresh tasting. Lots of cheese & a wonderful crust. Today, I tried something different. Their Fresca Pizza. Which has chopped Roma tomatoes on it, x-tra Virgin Olive oil, Pecorino Romano & Asiago cheeses & topped with fresh basil. Oh my! What a tasty,flavor-filled pizza that was!!! And, it tasted as good delivered as their pizzas do when eating there. I also had a side garden salad which tho was nothing different..... tasted extremely fresh & was served with a vinagrette dressing. I love this place...for pizza anyway! They also serve sandwiches & pasta dishes. Maybe next time......Go There. You'll like it! I've eated at their Sandlake location & today, from their Lake Mary location.

I passed by the Lake Mary gazebo plaza many times before finally stopping in to try one of the restaurants, and this place is amazing. The sauce is incredible, the toppings amazing, and the prices fair. Unless the ownership changes hands or somebody at corporate gets kicked in the head by a mule and starts changing everything for no reason, it's a safe bet that you will really love this place. I forgot to mention that the servers are pretty down-to-earth and effective here.

After a great first experience at Flippers in Tampa, I had a chance to talk my Mom into checking them out. (Why yes, I DO proselytize for good restaurants. Don't YOU?) We did the lunch special for Specialty pies which pretty much boils down to a free drink with a MyPie sized pizza. Not a bad deal. We ordered a California Classic but unlike my visit in Tampa, we went with item as described on the menu, with pesto sauce. That was a not great call as the pesto ensured that there was oil and sauce all over the plate and sogging up the crust for the leftovers we took home. The toppings were still amazing - fresh and delicious - but I will not be doing this one as described on the menu again. We also ordered the Arugula and Prosciutto pizza - though we did ask if it came with any sauce. Usually no - but we asked for red sauce. Good call on our part. This one was outstanding!! The bite of the arugula, the tang of the lemon juice and the blend of crunch, salty and savory was perfection. Gorgonzola can be hit or miss (if you pile too much on, I'd prefer to miss the dish entirely) but there was just enough here to add that pungent punch without overwhelming everything else. We had about 1/2 of each pie leftover and ended up having a salad and pizza dinner the very same night - it was that good! Good service and a nice dining area made this a really lovely lunch with one of my very favorite ladies. Thanks, Flippers!

My family has been buying pizzas here since they opened and they are our FAVORITE . We would buy at least once a week and they would have some coupons too. Now we will not be returning as they have upped their prices ALOT and make the pizzas smaller . We are very disappointed ;(

We've gone twice, both times the service was horrible and extremely slow. The $3 bottled water with their label is suspect and I just didn't like their food. We won't be going back.

This place was very quiet, both with in-restaurant dining and takeout, on a Friday night. Surprising for a place I've heard so much about. We had pizza and breadsticks, and I was pretty unimpressed. It's grocery store quality ingredients (not really cheap, but not the best-- just very ordinary) and the crust/breadsticks was really nothing to write home about. My homemade pizza is better, so just for the food alone I'm not sure why I'd bother to come back. The real problem we had was with the staff's response to an error on our bill. We'd used a coupon that made the pizza and breadsticks $17. A computer error made the total $18 before tax instead of $17. The server first refused to change it. When he finally got the manager, he was curt and condescending, trying to make it seem as if he'd take the $1 off "to make us happy" instead of because there was a genuine error. We were NOT made to feel as if our business was valued. Because of that, even if the pizza had been stellar I'd think long and hard about returning.

Their hours on the door say "11 am -" and they were closed at 9 pm. Was really looking forward to trying their food.

The food was very good, but the service needs work. When we paid, we saw on the receipt that the baked sandwich I got (very good) was charged for $8.49 -- not the $6.99 the menu advertised. After asking, the waiter went to go see the manager and came back and told us that the menus they gave us were old and that there were actually different prices. What?!? Why didn't you tell me when I ordered? Why don't you have current menus? I of course wanted the difference back, not because it was that much money but because I was annoyed that they would lie to me, try to charge me extra, and hide it. If I hadn't caught it as we were walking out the door, they would've. After going back to the manager, the waitress came back and told us that she could give us a dollar, and that she didn't have 50 cents to make the full $1.50. My main problem is that they do not seem to understand that our business is a privilege. Don't have 50 cents? Round up and give me two dollars! When you wrongly charge someone extra, you don't make them feel like they did something wrong. If she gave me a sincere apology and paid me back the extra amount, I would be very forgiving. But halfheartedly throwing me a dollar -- not even the full amount -- is not how customer service is supposed to be. What I hope the business learns is that food, even good food, is not everything to a restaurant experience. The service that a customer receives is extremely valuable. It keeps them coming back and is worth more than the $1.50. That said: If there is a problem you must fix it completely and do all you can. Instead of handing me less than the full amount because you didn't have change, you should have handed me more than the full amount. I would have been surprised, and this positive experience that would keep bringing me back is worth far more than 50 cents.

Second time here. Horrendously slow service . When I nicely complained, the manager went into the kitchen and started screaming at everyone. Reminded me of Gordan Ramsey on the reality show Hell's Kitchen. The servers are mostly young females and appear to be bullied by the manager. Nice staff, but very poorly managed. Don't waste your time here - plenty of other pizza places in town.

I'm jealous of you Florida. I'm real jealous. Maybe it's living in the city of worst Italian food in America, maybe it's just that you have amazing Italian food. Either or, I really enjoyed my huge Flippers pizza. We picked this up to bring into a bar to eat down the road. Ordered a custom pizza (caramelized onions, asiago cheese, bacon, black olives) to go. About 25 dollars for a huge pizza to feed the very hungry three of us. Not amazingly cheap, but I was okay with paying that for what we got. The crust was tasty - not thick but not crispy thin either - a nice texture and taste to it. The sauce was good - I didn't notice it which is a good thing - it blended well with the other flavors and wasn't bad or overpowering. The toppings were the really good thing - the onions were perfectly cooked and the bacon was actual strips - not bacon bits - which really sealed the deal. I really liked it and I would continue to come back. The place was clean and they gave us plates and napkins to take with us. 5 stars because I have no complaints.

Pizza is great, but the service is weird and kind of snobby. Both times I've been here, different severs, they start out their 'welcome' with something like "Just so you know, the pizza takes 15-20 minutes to cook fresh." I mean, I kind of assume that going into a pizzeria, so it kind of puts a damper on it when they start off on that foot.. Like I said, great food but not too friendly.

Better options in Sanford / Lake Mary...I brought my family of four (2 adults / 2 kids) and had the Greek salad, the Pizza Bianca, and 2 individual pizzas for the kids. The food was decent but probably a few dollars overpriced...not crazy though. From the time we sat down, you could tell they were understaffed in the front of house. It took quite a while for us to get our food. The salad took a about 25 minutes from the time we sat down and was smaller than I was expecting for an $8 salad, but it was good and had chopped ham and artichokes along with the normal greek salad fixins. From there it was probably another 20-25 minutes to get our pizzas - the adults pizza came out first, then the kids pizzas a few minutes later. The Pizza Bianca was pretty good with a decent amount of cheese. The kids enjoyed their individual pizzas. Even though our server was stretched a little thin, she was good. She kept our drinks full and let us know what was going on in the kitchen / when the food was coming out. I'll probably try it again just to see if they were having an off-night, but overall I'd say our first trip was just OK.

Awesome lunch special! $6.99 for a two typing personal pizza (which could be shared by two people) and a soda. The crust is crispy and the pizza is delicious. Plus, the staff is awesome. I left my debit card here and didn't notice for a couple of days, but they kept my card safe and no weird charges came up. Definitely recommend this place for lunch.

I am SO GLAD that Flippers is expanding!! I love this place, I have eaten at the other locations and now that there is one closer to me I can eat here more. Their pizzas are excellent, they dont taste like they were mass produced like other chains. Fresh food and a great staff. NOTE: I dont know what these other people are talking about with the service issues, ive been here often, and while in the first few weeks they were still working on their timings, etc, it was minor and recently I have not seen any issues. Strongly recommend you check this place out!

Good pizza, nice place, open late (for the area). They seem to use better ingredients than the competing "fast food pizza joints" - for example, kalamata olives instead of those non-descript flavorless ones.

Great lunch specials, awesome service, and under new management! Flippers is a chain based in Florida, but this store is a Franchise, and they make you feel like family. Apparently, their food is all natural, and even though they may cost a little more than the other major chains, it's worth every penny.

This place is what it is - a commercial pizza joint. Their lunch specials are good price wise, and you get large portions. Salads- not so good. Use fake processed chicken and meats. Also, once it opened the staff was horrible, they didnt know how to take an order over the phone and once arriving at the place you can tell they had NO CLUE what they were doing. I get that they just opened, but you should have someone with experience working the floor to serve guests. My pizza got burnt in the oven one time, and the manager was nice to give me a voucher for a free lunch. Take it or leave it is my review...

Went to flippers last night and it was okay. Nothing special. We ordered an appetizer of breadsticks which were very good, but they took a long time. Pizza took a while too so we were hoping it would be as good as people were saying, but we weren't very impressed. Overall the restaurant was okay, but nothing to rave about.
